Payday loan company calls at work?

I have 8 payday loan companies that i owe and haven't paid back i got in way over my head. Today i went to a credit counselor who advised me that the best thing for me to do is to file bankruptcy. I won't be able to get my consultation with an attorney until next week but in the meantime are the payday lenders going to start calling my work since i don't answer my phone and if so how can i get them to stop I know I'll lose my job.plus wouldn't they be violating their own privacy policy since the loan is supposed to be confidential Also paying them back isn't an option at this point it's either pay my rent and electricity or the payday loans obviously i choose not to pay the payday loans. any advice would be great i live in washington state if that makes a difference

Wow, I need to do that, I'm hurting for money too and my credit is really bad so it wouldn't effect me too much anyways. I don't think there gonna call your job and if they do they can't say you owe them money they'll just say to have you call them back. I owed one payday loan and they never called my job they just kept calling me then eventually it just went on my credit. I ended up paying them off 5 years later.

wow sounds like you did get in over your head.. i dont know how your states laws are but if you tell them not to call you at work they arent suppose to call you again.. now your house that would be a different story..best thing to do is try and pay them off which you said isnt an option or do like your credit counselor told you to do.. good luck..
