I'm thinking of getting a payday loan or a bank loan...just in need of one right now. I know about all the warnings and everything, but I wanted to know if anyone tried it, and has had no problems with the institutions. Any suggestions? I mean I am researching and I just want a legit one. Any good and legit websites for these?
Okay, so I hear of all the BAD stories about Payday loans, but does anyone have GOOD ones? Do NOT take out a payday loan unless you are already able to earmark EXACTLY where the dollars are coming from (and when) to repay it.
The interest will eat you alive, and someone borrowing as little as $100 can end up paying $350 or more for the privilege!
Far better to raise needed cash some other way...sell something.
Okay, so I hear of all the BAD stories about Payday loans, but does anyone have GOOD ones? Payday loans are good for getting yourself out of a bind, but remember that you *must* repay the loan ASAP. The interest is a killer and if you don't repay, it only goes up!
I have done payday loans (in my youth) and they were lifesavers, but you *must* repay them. Don't build one on top of another and start rotating -- that's where you get into trouble.
Look for another source of income before you take this path -- if you can get a bank loan or a credit card to cover, you are better off. If, however, you decide to go with a payday loan -- make it for as little as you can possibly get by with, and pay it off ASAP.
There are many legit companies -- not knowing what state you are in doesn't help, but in California: CheckintoCash is a good one, and there is even one online called MyCashNow that is good as well. I've used both, and they are legit.

They charge a huge interest rate, and God help you if you fall even a little bit behind in paying them back. You are much better off going to a bank or, even better, a credit union in securing a loan. Their rates are much more reasonable and they are more willing to work with you if you have a problem in repaying them.

Okay, so I hear of all the BAD stories about Payday loans, but does anyone have GOOD ones? Payday loans are a way for individuals to borrow short-term money. It costs $50(?) to borrow money for a couple of weeks.
Businesses borrow short-term money all the time and it costs them too, but we don't hear a lot of moaning about it. It's the way things are: when you need money and you can't get it any other way, then borrow it.
The smart thing to do is only to borrow if you are in desperate need and there is no other way of raising the money. And after you borrow, make sure to pay it back on time. DO NOT take out another loan to pay back the first.
Clear the loan, do everything you can to get your finances back in shape, and a payday loan can ease your path, just like it does with businesses.
