Do NOT go to Household Finance, Beneficial, or ANY company associated with HSBC. I don't care how bad your credit is...NO ONE deserves the pain and abuse that HSBC puts one through! They are scam artists, constantly trying to con you or lie about not receiving your payment(even if you DID pay and have the receipt to prove it!), in an attempt to elicit a late fee and raise your interest rates even higher.

I'd try a credit union. Credit unions are small, local, and I think they put more stock into things like your income. A lot of banks these days give out instant online loan approvals, which look at your credit score/history and nothing else. But a lot of small local banks and credit unions still look at other factors such as paystubs.

If you REALLY need a subprime lender(try to avoid those though), there's American General and places like that. ANYTHING like HSBC/Household.
