Here in Michigan they are regulated and all legit. But a very bad deal. The rate of interest you are paying is 10 times the rate on even a credit card.

Don't do it. Even legitimate ones are a scam. Get on a budget and live within your means.

For your own sanity, DO NOT get a payday loan. Most are able to make up the rules as they go along and very few states have policies and regulations for these places.

The interest rates to borrow the money calculate out to an average of 400% APR as compared to a credit card's average 16% APR.

You'd be better off trying to get a cash advance from a cc or even borrowing the money from friends or family. Payday loans are the worst!
