I have bad credit (in process of fixing slowly) and I need a 3500 loan are there options besides pay

I am willing to pay 300 a month to pay back. I know the rate will be high. I just need someone to give me a chance. I have a stable job so I AM POSITIVE I will make the payments. If the only way is to go the slow and easy road then that's what I'll continue to do.

I have bad credit (in process of fixing slowly) and I need a 3500 loan are there options besides payday loans?

Definitely avoid payday loans! What you want to do is look for a lender who specializes in providing financing to people with bad credit. Have you spoken to the consultants at http://www.mortgageous.com/noriskcredit yet?

They can set you up with all kinds of loans for people with poor or nonexistent credit - it sounds like you might be a good candidate for a $3,500 line of credit. I know of them from their auto loan program, and I know they will get you the best interest rate they can find.

By the way, good to hear you're working on fixing your bad credit - slow and steady is the way to go. Good luck!

If you have bad credit, the last thing you need to do is take out a loan at a high interest rate nonetheless. If it's not an absolute necessity, forget it.

I don't think it's a good idea to take up another loan. Work on your current repayment first. Besides, with high interests you may eventualy be paying out more than your required loan amount.

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

My husband and I have had a rough patch and went almost a month with little to no work which put us in the hole by $2,000. Now, he has a good paying job but it pays enough to take care of our present bills not the outstanding debts ie: payday loans. What are some money savy ways to get out of debt? Will payday loan places work with you?

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

Payday loan places are usually pretty scummy and probably won't work with you. Try to work a second job if you can get one (working retail on the weekends, delivering pizzas, deliving packages/loading trucks for UPS) and put all that money towards the loans. Try to live on a written budget. No going out to eat, going to the bar, going to the movies, no shopping sprees, ect. Discipline is the key

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

Probably better to go to a real bank and take out a small loan or a line of credit to pay back those Pay Day loan sharks. Then pay off the two grand as you can...those Pay Day places will likely hold a balance with you, at crazy interest. Good luck, debt sucks!

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

Payday loans are the final step to being homeless and in hell .

The rates are loan shark rates and the courts side with them because stupid people sign on the dotted line .

I got 2 jobs , start waiting tables or whatever and then get a 2nd job .

Ya , OK , he has a job , now WHAT are you doing ?

I did not hear about any babies , so get a job and do not let him be carrying this by himself .

some of them will just call them and try to work out a schedule with them. you may be surprised.

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

There is a guy named Dave Ramsey who writes books on this stuff. Your library might have some of them.

In a nutshell, he says you need to have a written budget. If your income is not fixed, you prioritize what bills to pay with what you have. And try to save up an emergency fund to deal with surprises.

Most of what he says is basically spend less than you bring in each month by cutting back on your lifestyle and spending on the bare necessities. That may not help much. But you will never be able to borrow your way out of debt.

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

Why are you borrowing more money to get out of debt? That doesn't work. You need to cut back on your day to day expenses:

cook at home, from scratch. No vacations until you pay your debts. Don't charge your future away. Do you want 20% or more of your income to go for interest, which is basicaly for nothing? Learn to save up and pay cash! Your money is your choice, why

be poor and in debt for your entire life?

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

Try and call the company and see if you can pay monthly

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

You turn the cable off. You eat leg quarters and rice and beans and cheap food to save. You hang the towels on a clothes line to dry to save on drying. You have your kids bag it for lunch and the hubby. You play games at home with the kids for entertainment. You unplug everything that doesn't need using, even plugged in draws some electricity. You drink tap water in place of costly drinks. You tighten, tighten, tighten. And you be upfront with the kids and make a game out of who can save the most energy, like keeping lights off when not in use, etc.

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

You must take a job of some sort and use the entire income to pay off the payday loan people. That is the best use to which you could put it; it's the equivalent of putting it in a very high-paying stock or bond. Pay down that debt and then continue to put all your pay into a bank account that you will not touch. You must keep at least two month's income as an emergency fund in order to prevent a similar 'rough patch' from getting you into so much trouble again.

Then put yourselves on a budget, removing from your life such money-sinks as restaurants, lottery tickets, instant-messaging and the more expensive cell-phone stuff. Get a reliable used car; most family financial troubles start with a sick automobile.

You pretty much know what to do in this regard. You'll just have to do it.

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

You already have the answer, cut back on what is not NEEDED. Get a part time job on husband's off shift.

NEVER go to payday loan places. None of them are good. They are designed to keep you there paying them every 2 weeks that you cannot pay them off fully. Don't go there, don't even acknowledge their existence.

You will catch up little by little.

Good luck with it. Anyone can do it you just need to concentrate.

How do you get out of debt when you are $2,000 in the hole?

I work as a Personal Banker and I can tell you right now that payday loans are a vicious cycle that is very very hard to get out of. They have high interest as well. I would recommend that you try to obtain a personal loan from your bank or a credit card to cover the $2,000. Since you are the primary caretaker of your kids, can your husband supplement the income by taking a second job until the $2,000 is paid off? You might also look into getting a part time job where you can work when he is home from work so he can watch the kids. Have you considered working at a Target or walmart as they are open late? I suggest do anything you can to get out of the payday loan cycle, even if it means great inconvenience of second jobs, moving to a cheaper place, selling off assets (cars, furniture, jewelry), or asking family for help. Good luck.

I recently received a court summons for an unpaid......?

....payday loan account from 5 years ago. Can I just call an try to negotiate a payment plan with the credit investigation bureau that sent it on behalf of the payday loan company? There's no court date on the summons I got, but it says I have 20 days to answer the summons.....Please help!!! I live in the state of Arizona.

I don't want them garnishing my wages.....It's awfuly strange that the gave me this during the holidays.

I recently received a court summons for an unpaid......?

If it says it's from a court call the court. Is the court listed on the paper from the same state that you live in? I would look them, make sure you contact the court directly, and see if there is any case at all. You really don't want to ignore court documents you receive in the mail. Chances are the company is filing a civil claim against you, and they are sending you a copy of the filings they made with the court. It may be to early for there to be a court date yet. You can always negotiate with the collection company. The thing is that the longer you wait, the more money they will likely seek to compensate for court and legal fees.

I recently received a court summons for an unpaid......?

sounds like scare tactics. dont know if they can take you to court..... especially without a date.

I recently received a court summons for an unpaid......?

Call the court that issued the summons and ask what you can do. Maybe you can set up a payment plan with them. I think it's out of the card company's hands if its already in the court system. Or you can see a lawyer about this. I think there is a limitation to how long a debt can be collected. Maybe the debt you owe is invalid if it's been in long standing. Consult a lawer on this though.

Good luck!

I recently received a court summons for an unpaid......?

of course you can negociate with the company as long as you are willing to pay up your debt.what they want is just the money you owed them.

I recently received a court summons for an unpaid......?

I'm with triz. Sounds like baloney to me. I wouldn't even call those folks. I would call or email your state attourney gereral's office. It is probably an illegal threat.

Another organization whoch could help you is Consumer Credit Counseling Services. CCCS is not free, but is a low cost nonprofit agency which helps with this sort of problem.

I recently received a court summons for an unpaid......?

I think you got something bogus. There are two kinds of summons issued: administrative (like the IRS) and judicial. Both are going to tell you where to report, when, and why. Without a date on this, that sound suspicious. Then you state you got it from a credit investigation bureau--they have no authority to issue a summons.

Nothing can be garnished unless a judge orders it. If someone fails to provide proper service (including location and date) there's no way that's going to hold up unless someone %26quot;owns%26quot; a judge to violate the law and uphold a bogus judgment.

Anybody know anything about Westbury Ventures???

Has anyone dealt with this company. They are payday loan company and I defaulted on payment. So I tried to set up a payment plan and they refused. Now they are trying to add all these charges. They keep harassing me at work. I work for a law firm so I had one of the lawyers tell him to kindly quit calling we don't accept debt collection calls. So now they are calling and just laughing and then hanging up. I looked up payday loan laws in Illinois and they can't charge any extra fees after default except insufficient funds. Well, you see I put stop payments on that company and they are mad. I have now asked for a detailed bill. I took out a 300.00 loan and they are claiming I owe 960.00. I have already paid them 180.00 since October. How can I get them to leave me alone. How can I set up a payment plan when they refuse to give me a detailed bill and information to mail it to. I refuse to give them my bank account number. Anyone have experience w/this?

Anybody know anything about Westbury Ventures???

Visit my source...thousands of posts by people who have been through PDL hell.

Sorry I can't give you a better answer. There are states where the state's own usury laws do not apply.

In one state, if the lender is licensed in another state, then the lender will not be prohibited from lending online.

In another state, an online payday loan would be illegal if it resulted from a solicitation (an email), but legal if the consumer searched for a loan, and stumbled upon the lender's website.

Again, visit the site below, and be sure to file a complaint with your state's attorney general.

"Our Friendly Neighborhood Bank- Take a look, notice if this happens to you and change your ban

%26quot;Our Friendly Neighborhood Bank%26quot;

A practice, our neighborhood bank has extended themselves into is the %26quot;payday loan%26quot; venue, which although they are loath to admit practicing, is in effect, the exact same thing as the corporations who really do involve themselves in the %26quot;payday loan%26quot; venue. Your friendly %26quot;storefront%26quot; (that is what banks refer the branches as now, run by a %26quot;store manager%26quot;) also, not to your by permission, extends %26quot;payday%26quot; loans. It occurs on no minimum amount accounts, and or linked checking-savings accounts. The bank, loading up the preset or web bill pay demands to the same day of your automatic deposit paycheck. The customer, who thinks he or she covered the check last week, falls victim to the internet pay demand from the 3rd party, say the electric or gas company. Then, you who have a %26quot;positive%26quot; balance, suddenly notices that all your bills are paid first, then you deposit is made, then %26quot;fees%26quot; deducted. Keep an %26quot;operating amount aside%26quot;, to remain safe.

%26quot;Our Friendly Neighborhood Bank- Take a look, notice if this happens to you and change your banking habits.

I had this happen to me a number of years ago. It happened once and I called the bank about it. I spoke with a customer service rep, and unsatisfied, spoke with a supervisor. At the time I also had direct deposit to this bank. So here I am with what amounts to a check that is hitting the bank on an empty account so I take a paycheck advance offered by my bank. Only the check hits the bank 5 minutes before midnight and the paycheck advance doesn't hit until midnight. So know I am hit by a fee from the bank and the person I wrote the check to, right? If you talk to the right person they will waive the bank fees, but this is one of the worst scams that banks have come up with. Not only do you pay an arm and a leg for this, it won't save you either. And you end up doing it more often than not, because your paycheck ends up going to cover your advance, not what you need to pay.

Is there any ligmit lenders out there?

I am of need of a big size loan and i am not willing to let these people from Uk or other countries scam me . Is there any one in the United States (Not Canada) that will lend me the money?

I jnow if someone would lend me the money I could pay off some bills ( instead of payday loans ) I will be able to pay them off in full Please give good advice

Is there any ligmit lenders out there?

There are plenty of legitimate lenders. NONE of them will reply to this, or any YA question by offering you a loan. Doing so would violate Yahoo's Community Guidelines. Violating the rules is your first sign they are not legitimate.

Is there any ligmit lenders out there?

Have you tried banking companies themself out here in the US? There is Wells Fargo, Bank Of America, Chase. Etc. Look them up online.
