I have to agree with the others that have posted so far. Try other options first like trying to get the utility company or creditor to give you a couple of days. The interest rates on payday loans are really high and the penalties can be monstrous. Payday loans are good for getting yourself out of a bind, but remember that you *must* repay the loan ASAP. The interest is a killer and if you don't repay, it only goes up!

I have done payday loans (in my youth) and they were lifesavers, but you *must* repay them. Don't build one on top of another and start rotating -- that's where you get into trouble.

Look for another source of income before you take this path -- if you can get a bank loan or a credit card to cover, you are better off. If, however, you decide to go with a payday loan -- make it for as little as you can possibly get by with, and pay it off ASAP.

There are many legit companies -- not knowing what state you are in doesn't help, but in California: CheckintoCash is a good one, and there is even one online called MyCashNow that is good as well. I've used both, and they are legit.

Stay away from Payday Loans! They charge a huge interest rate, and God help you if you fall even a little bit behind in paying them back. You are much better off going to a bank or, even better, a credit union in securing a loan. Their rates are much more reasonable and they are more willing to work with you if you have a problem in repaying them.

I am searching for all of those alleged high risk lenders that are willing to lend money for those with credit scores in the low 500's. I am not interested in payday advances. My wife took a $10,000 a year net pay cut this year and we are struggling to keep it together. We had a little girl last year and my wife was out for 7 months. We are still paying off medical bills.

Ouch! Do you have a relative to bail you out? Do you have anything you can sell? The best bet is to go there and tell them that you want to pay them back and ask what you can do. Chances are they will help you work it out cuz they do want their money. If you ignore it, it'll only get much worse! Crying also helps...pour on the tears when you walk into the place and rent a whole bunch of hungry looking kids to hold onto your leg when you go in there.(just kidding about the kiddies)
